Bloodborne Pathogens
Employees who, as part of their job duties, work or come in contact with human blood or potentially infectious human body fluids or tissues, including human cell lines, must:

Enroll in ISU’s Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control program.

Take annual Bloodborne Pathogen and Sharps Safety Training.
To enroll in the program complete a Hazard Inventory form.
Any work with human blood, body fluids, or tissue and cell lines must be done using BSL-2 practices.
The Bloodborne Pathogens Manual contains additional information about ISU’s Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control program.
