The purpose of the DLSC curriculum is to provide Departmental Lab Safety Contacts with working knowledge of general and departmental specific laboratory safety. The curriculum consists of five required courses, and a minimum of four additional courses. The required courses cover safety guidelines relevant to general lab safety; additional courses address hazards specific to a department. EH&S highly encourages all DLSCs to complete the CPR/AED/First Aid training.

A certificate will be provided to the Departmental Laboratory Safety Contact upon completion of the curriculum.
