To celebrate and strengthen a culture of safety and accountability, EH&S proudly recognizes ISU research teams who demonstrate exceptional safety performance.

Each month, one research group will be selected at random from among those who received an "Areas of Excellence" in their annual safety survey report. The selected research team will be recognized with a certificate and formally acknowledged within their department/unit, celebrating their commitment to fostering a safe and responsible research environment.

In July, a final awardee will be chosen from the monthly recipients, following a targeted safety walk-through to confirm continued excellence.

This program supports EH&S's mission to elevate safety standards and reward leadership in research environments.

Department Lab Safety Contacts (DLSC)

The Partnership is aimed at empowering and developing the role of the DLSC in order to build a stronger relationship between EH&S and researchers. By creating trust, reliability, and cooperation between departments and EH&S, the message and practice of safety can be delivered more effectively.

This Partnership also provides an avenue for prompt feedback, therefore promoting timely and continual program improvement.
