Training Shops Specific
Everyone planning to work in a shop must be adequately trained before beginning work. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that all personnel receive appropriate EH&S training and shop-specific training. Document shop-specific training with the signature of the persons giving and receiving the training, the date, and the topics covered. Information communicated in the training should include:
-
A discussion of the Shop Safety Manual and how it applies to activities conducted in specific work areas
-
Shop-specific training on equipment, safety procedures and safe work practices
-
A description of personal protective equipment and safety devices that shop personnel can use to protect themselves
