Cat Litter Buckets Needed for Laboratory Glass Disposal

The university’s departments of environmental health and safety (EH&S) and facilities planning and management (FP&M) repurpose empty Tidy Cat® litter buckets (the 35 pound size) to collect glass in laboratories across campus, and more buckets are needed for the waste and recycling program. You can help by donating your empty Tidy Cats litter buckets.

There are two ways you can donate your empty Tidy Cats litter bucket(s) to the university:

1. Coordinate a pickup by emailing ehs_envprog@iastate.edu, and EH&S staff will retrieve the bucket(s).
2. Bring your bucket(s) to the receptionist desk in the EH&S Services Building (2408 Wanda Daley Drive, Ames, IA).
