National Farm Safety and Health Week

Contrary to the popular image of fresh air and peaceful surroundings, a farm is not a hazard-free work setting. Every year, thousands of farm workers are injured and hundreds more die in farming accidents. The rate of fatalities in agriculture continues to decline, but still remains the highest of any industry sector. According to the National Safety Council, agriculture is the most hazardous industry in the nation.

September 21-27, 2014, is National Farm Safety and Health Week. This year's theme is Safety Counts Protecting What Matters.

EH&S has resources to help keep you safe including a tractor safety online training course and skid loader use video.
