EH&S announces new training for Vertical Lift Operators

Designed to get vertical lift operators up and running quicker, EH&S has released a new Vertical Lift Safety training course.  The new course allows units with vertical lift operators the ability to train new operators immediately instead of waiting for the next classroom session to be held. The new course replaces the Scissor Lift Safety classroom training course. Vertical Lift Safety focuses on the different type and components of vertical lifts, along with safely operating a vertical lift. In addition, the course covers identifying hazards associated with vertical lifts and inspecting and maintaining a vertical lift. The new course can be found in the Environmental Health and Safety catalog in Learn@ISU.
