August is National Water Quality Month

Water is a valuable resource for people who live, work, learn, and play in Ames.  Our little portion of Cyclone heaven is home to 2 rivers, several creeks, recreational areas such as Peterson Pits and Ada Hayden, and of course our beloved Lake Laverne.  Ames derives all of its drinking water from aquifers recharged by these sources.
