Effective October 1, 2008 All vehicles in Lot 122 (south of EHSSB) as well as the general lots around EHSSB will be required to use a parking permit. Training participants who do not have an ISU parking permit must FIRST stop at the main reception area inside EHSSB to receive a temporary parking permit to use while at training. Any vehicle without a parking permit will be ticketed at the owner’s expense. No exceptions. This is a new parking policy for EH&S required by the ISU Parking Division. Temporary parking permits must be signed out at the EH&S desk and hung in the vehicle before parking in Lot 122 or any of the general lots around EHSSB. Call 294-5359 if you have questions.

On April 9, 2007, DHS issued the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) as a final rule. Iowa State University must now comply with this rule by beginning the process of gathering information on chemicals used on campus that are affected by this new regulation. Homeland Security has published a proposed list of chemicals of interest which can be viewed at the link provided below. EH&S anticipates that the chemical list from DHS could become final some time late June or early July.
